Other ceremonies
Death is a profound period of transition that brings both opportunities and challenges: if we let it, death has the capacity to completely transform how we live. I work with those approaching death and the friends and family of those who have died. I offer living wakes, funerals and end-of-life ceremonies and can officiate services that accompany burials, entombments, cremations or however you choose to lay your person to rest. This includes funerals and memorials to honour unwanted pregnancy loss - whether early stage or full-term, your grief is real and deserves to be held in a way that is meaningful for you.
If you’re working with a funeral home, I can work with one of your choosing, or recommend values-aligned services in your area, like Life Rites Funeral Services in Sydney. I’m currently undertaking end-of-life doula (or death/mortality doula) training and will soon be offering holistic end-of-life services. For now, we can work together to ensure you are connected with the other administrative, emotional, practical and spiritual support you might need as you navigate this journey and everything it brings.
I’ll work with you to ensure this ceremony reflects the life that has ended and commemorates them in community. It’s said that grief is what love looks like on the other side. Get in touch and let’s discuss how we can honour the significance of this experience and ensure you and your people are held throughout.
Funerals and end-of-life
Other ceremonies
In addition to weddings and end-of-life ceremonies, I provide:
✷ Commitment ceremonies (like a wedding without the legal element)
✷ Engagements (sometimes way funner than weddings imho)
✷ Vow renewals (to reignite the spark)
✷ Baby namings and/or guide-parent ceremonies
✷ Namings (for folks who have found a name that fits them better than the one they were assigned at birth)
✷ Gender affirmations/reveals (just not for babies or those not yet born)
If you’re experiencing a big life moment and it doesn’t fit under one of the above, I’d love to explore that with you and get creative. Get in touch and let’s chat.
